King Tut – The Pain Relieving Sativa You Should Try

Tutankhamun by Curaleaf a review

Heyyyyy all! I took a trip to Bloom Brothers this past week in hopes of trying something new that I could talk to all of you fine folk about. Tutankhamun, or as I like to call it “King Tut,” is a sativa dominant hybrid put out by CuraLeaf. It has a high level of myrcene in it so many consumers look to the King for pain relief without loosing the kick in their step.

I picked up two 1-gram pre-rolls so I could give this a try via several methods of delivery. I broke both down and rolled a joint (counterintuitive I know), packed a bow and packed the Volcano.

First impressions were that it was ground finer than I would prefer. I don’t have to tell you that the finer the grind the more difficult it is to pull in a joint. I was again proven correct in this, but more on that later. The color of the ground flower was a bright beautiful green and the smell was a little minty, a little fruity and quite earthy. The smell actually reminded me of the BC Beasters I found back in the early 2000’s.

Joint – Like I said the grind was just too fine for a joint. My partner and I got a few puffs in and were annoyed. We kept at it for half of the joint before finally caving. The flavor profile was nice in the joint. You still get that minty flavor, and Id say it was smooth if it was pullable.

Bowl – Gwarsh was this nice to hit in a bowl. Hitting in the bowl gave me a nice earthy flavor and was just effing smoooooth. There’s no better way to say it, it just hits hella smooth you really can’t complain. The unique thing I found on the first hit was it made my mouth numb. It was a functional numb, but a nice feeling, nonetheless.

Volcano – After we smoked a joint and a bowl, I still wasn’t high, this happens to me with certain strains. Like, Gorilla Glue is a heavy hitter for most people, and I could smoke an 8th to my face and not notice a difference in my day. My co-pilot on this couch adventure was only a little high at this point so we said screw it and dove in.

I packed the Volcano full, dialed to 366° and started filling bags. I was hit with a light mint and earth flavor right off the bat. The hits were smooth but still brought about some decent coughing. And after 2 bags full of vapor each we were the definition of toast. It was a giggly and talkative high, I was over come by a positive mood and was uplifted. It helped much of my neck and upper back pain providing me a few hours of pain relief.

Overall King Tut is a beautiful strain that would be a great high for social situations, as well as for getting through your day if you are a chronic pain sufferer like myself. That high myrcene content really makes this just a lovely strain without muddling your mind like some sativas can.

Have you tried Tutankhamun yet? If so, leave your thoughts in the comment section 😊

Much Love
