Cannabis Grow Journal – End of Week 7

This post contains affiliate links that help me keep the lights on 🙂

Gooooood Morning! I missed posting for like a week and a half. Shit got really crazy here on the homestead. My brother and his family came to visit and a lot needed to be done beforehand. Believe it or not, I don’t even think I visited my plants for like a solid 10 days…. A lot can happen in 10 days…

How is everyone doing? Everyone is super well! We have gotten more rain in the past month than we normally do all summer, so my ground squishes when we walk. My plants are tolerating it well, but all are starting to show signs of over watering.

Over watering can show up in a few ways. The most common way I see is the yellowing and spotting of the lowest leaves.

These plants are on a little hill, so water primarily runs away. But, we have had down pours daily since June 1st, and it’s currently July 25th. I’ve never seen rain like this in my lifetime. I’ll be 38 on the 28th and my birthday month is normally arid at best. The type of weather that makes you wish for death but like, it’s just being dramatic.

For the The past 6 weeks, it’s been above 80 degrees every day, and the humidity is over 80% on my little foothill. Projects that normally take a full day are taking weeks because the fields here aren’t tolerable from 11am-6pm. So, I find myself doing indoor chores during the day, and morning and evenings, trying to do field work. Ya girl is tired.

Back to the plants! That Seedsman Critical + 2.0 is still tiny. Like tiny tiny. This plant is a 1/4 of the size of its Dutch Passion greenhouse mate’s. Can someone remind me to email Seedsman, lol. The Dutch Passion Colorado Cookies and Cinderella Jack have more than doubled in size and could use some LST or Low Stress Training to allow them the growth they need and truly want.

Seedsman Cali Critical Mass

The Banana Kush and two Unknowns are thriving! They too have doubled in size. The unknown that was showing pH issues has sorted itself out. All of her new growth is just happy dappy perfection.

The topping we did about 20 days ago has been perfect. Each plant has split into two stems instead of 1, and one of the unknowns tripled itself. As an INTJ personality, I realllllly appreciate that Unknown being so motivated to grow, lol.

That’s this/last week’s update. If you want thorough visuals of the plants please check out my YouTube.
