Hello, hello! Good evening all, and my sincerest apologies for my posting delay!
It was a big day. I mowed over an acre with our Husqvarna, had to work my normal job, all mah normal chores, and I finished the greenhouse planting. If you’ve been following the blog, you know that I had to revive the greenhouse a bit before I could get everyone planted. This week, my focus had to be on getting the seedlings out there. I’m struggling with timing on these because autos just make my brain do flips. This grow features seeds from Seedsman Seeds, Dutch Passion Seed Co, last year’s grow, and some unknowns from a family friend. I am a medical cannabis patient in NY, as is my significant other, so NY currently allows us to have 6 plants in veg and 6 in flower. I put the law up on my YouTube if y’all are curious.
Today the 6 seedlings went into the slightly raised beds in the greenhouse. Along with them, I planted some marigolds in hopes of keeping some bugs away. I crushed some eggshells and put them around the seedlings. I also put some used and baked coffee grounds down. The eggshells and coffee act as pest deterrents as well as feed the soil. I used several other amendments; some I make from scratch. I’ll add a list and some links below if you want them for your garden. After all the plants were not so gingerly planted, everyone got watered in really well and mulch brought in around them to keep them safe.
